Calypso is one of the most important genres of music in the Caribbean. Despite its early success, its popularity has declined dramatically, and it no longer enjoys the worldwide acclaim it once had. For non-Caribbean people, it’s become a niche set of music compared to its prime. The goal of this project is to share with the world some of Calypso’s greatest hits from the history of the greatest Calypsonian, The Mighty Sparrow. On the CD lies an MP3 containing some popular songs from the past.
